بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُوصِي لِلرَّجُلِ فَيَمُوتُ الْمُوصَى لَهُChapter: A man bequeaths to another man, but the legatee dies
Hadith 1555

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْوَصِيَّةِ لِذِي قَرَابَتِهِ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: وَإِنْ كَانُوا أَغْنِيَاءَ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّ غَنَاءَهُمْ لَا يَمْنَعُهُمْ مِنَ الْحَقِّ الَّذِي جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ "
When Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked whether a bequest should also be made for the relatives of wealthy people, he replied: "Their wealth does not prevent them from the right that Allah has prescribed for them."
