بَابٌ: هَلْ يُوصِي الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَالِهِ بِأَكْثَرَ مِنَ الثُّلُثِChapter: Can a man bequeath more than a third of his wealth?
Hadith 1541

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ: أنا زَائِدَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: أنا يَسَارُ بْنُ أَبِي كَرِبٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى شُرَيْحًا فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْهَا فَقَالَ: «تُحْسَبُ الْفَرِيضَةُ فَمَا بَلَغَتْ سُهْمَانُهَا أُعْطِيَ الْمُوصَى لَهُ سَهْمًا كَأَحَدِهَا»
A person asked Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him): "What about someone who made a bequest for a share of wealth?" He replied: "The wealth will be divided, and whatever one share amounts to, that much will be given to the one for whom the bequest was made."
