بَابٌ: هَلْ يُوصِي الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَالِهِ بِأَكْثَرَ مِنَ الثُّلُثِChapter: Can a man bequeath more than a third of his wealth?
Hadith 1531

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ: " مَنْ قَالَ: اجْعَلُوا ثُلُثِي حَيْثُ أَمَرَ اللَّهُ، جَعَلْنَاهُ لِمَنْ لَا يَرِثُ مِنْ ذِي قَرَابَةٍ، وَمَنْ سَمَّى شَيْئًا جَعَلْنَاهُ حَيْثُ سَمَّى "
Abdullah bin Muammar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Whoever said that a third of my wealth should be spent for Allah wherever He wills, we would give it to his close relatives who were not heirs. And whoever specified something particular, we would give it where he had specified."
