بَابٌ: هَلْ يُوصِي الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَالِهِ بِأَكْثَرَ مِنَ الثُّلُثِChapter: Can a man bequeath more than a third of his wealth?
Hadith 1526

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ: أنا دَاوُدُ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، فِي رَجُلٍ لَهُ ثَلَاثَةُ بَنِينَ فَأَوْصَى لِرَجُلٍ بِمِثْلِ نَصِيبِ أَحَدِ وَلَدِهِ قَالَ: «يُجْعَلُ رَابِعًا»
‘Amir (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “If a person has three sons and he makes a bequest to someone equal to one of his sons, then that person will be counted as a fourth.”
