بَابٌ: هَلْ يُوصِي الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَالِهِ بِأَكْثَرَ مِنَ الثُّلُثِChapter: Can a man bequeath more than a third of his wealth?
Hadith 1524

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ: أنا عُبَيْدَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ أَنْ يُوصِيَ الرَّجُلُ بِالثُّلُثِ وَالرُّبُعِ وَيَقُولُ: يَدْخُلُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمُنْخُلُ وَنَحْوِهِ "
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) disliked making a bequest of a third or a quarter and used to say: “This includes deductions and things like that.”
