Hadith 147

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ فَهُوَ رَاجِزٌ، هَذًّا كَهَذِّ الشِّعْرِ، وَنَثْرًا كَنَثْرِ الدَّقَلِ .
Abu Ubaidah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever recites the Qur'an in less than three days is one who recites it hastily, like reciting poetry quickly, and scattering it like dry pieces of dates.
