Hadith 146

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: اقْرَؤُوا الْقُرْآنَ فِي سَبْعٍ، وَلَا تَقْرَؤُوهُ فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ، وَلْيُحَافِظِ الرَّجُلُ فِي يَوْمِهِ وَلَيْلَتِهِ عَلَى جُزْئِهِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Complete the recitation of the Qur'an in seven days, and do not recite it in less than three days, and every person should safeguard the recitation of his portion during the day and night.
