Hadith 144

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، قَالَ: لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ: إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ كَذَا وَكَذَا، وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا: قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
Mutarrif (may Allah have mercy on him) says: No person should say, "Indeed Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says such and such," rather he should say: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has said."
