بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُعْتِقُ فَيَمُوتُ وَيَتْرُكُ وَرَثَةً ثُمَّ يَمُوتُ الْمُعْتَقُChapter on a man who frees a slave, then dies and leaves heirs, then the freed slave dies
Hadith 1438

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مُغِيرَةُ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، أَعْتَقَ مَمْلُوكًا وَمَاتَ وَتَرَكَ أَبَاهُ وَابْنَهُ، ثُمَّ مَاتَ الْمُعْتَقُ قَالَ: «لِأَبِيهِ السُّدُسُ، وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِابْنِهِ»
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about a man who freed a slave and then died, leaving behind his father and his son. Then the freed slave died. He said: "The father will get one-sixth, and the rest will go to the son."
