Hadith 143

قَالَ الْأَعْمَشُ: فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ، فَقَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: مَنْ حَلَفَ بِالْقُرْآنِ فَعَلَيْهِ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ يَمِينٌ، وَمَنْ كَفَرَ بِآيَةٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ فَقَدْ كَفَرَ بِهِ كُلِّهِ .
Al-A'mash (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I mentioned this matter to Sayyiduna Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him), so he said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever swears an oath by the Qur'an, for every verse there is an oath binding upon him, and whoever denies even a single verse of the Qur'an, it is as if he has denied the entire Qur'an."
