بَابُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ عَلَى الْمِيرَاثِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْسَمَChapter on one who accepts Islam before the inheritance is distributed
Hadith 1387

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ «قَضَى فِي رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُولَئِكَ هَلَكَ وَتَرَكَ ابْنَتَهُ وَبَنِي مَوَالِيهِ، فَجَعَلَ الْمِيرَاثَ بَيْنَ ابْنَتِهِ وَبَيْنَ بَنِي مَوَالِيهِ»
Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) gave a verdict regarding a man who left behind a daughter and a slave, so the inheritance was divided between the daughter and the slaves.
