Hadith 138

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سُبَيْعٍ قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ عِنْدَ مَنَامِهِ آيَاتٍ مِنَ الْبَقَرَةِ لَمْ يَنْسَ الْقُرْآنَ ؛ أَرْبَعَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ: { وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ } وَآيَةَ الْكُرْسِيِّ، وَالثَّلَاثَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ آخِرِهَا .
It is narrated from Mughira bin Sabi’ (may Allah have mercy on him) that whoever recites a few verses of Surah Al-Baqarah before sleeping will not forget the Qur’an; that is, four verses: “And your God is one God; there is no deity except Him, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate” (__QUR_N__), Ayat al-Kursi, and its last three verses.
