بَابُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ عَلَى الْمِيرَاثِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْسَمَChapter on one who accepts Islam before the inheritance is distributed
Hadith 1364

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، قَالَ: «إِذَا مَاتَ وَتَرَكَ ابْنًا مَمْلُوكًا، فَأُعْتِقَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْسَمَ مِيرَاثُهُ، فَلَهُ مِيرَاثُهُ»
It is narrated from Abu Al-Sha’tha’ (may Allah have mercy on him) that: "Whoever died and his son was a slave, if he is freed before the distribution, he will receive the inheritance."
