Hadith 136

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَوْ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مِائَةَ آيَةٍ كُتِبَ مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَ، وَمَنْ حَافَظَ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) or Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites one hundred (100) verses at night will be written among the devoutly obedient (Qanitin), and whoever is regular in the five prayers will not be counted among the heedless."
