بَابُ مِيرَاثِ الْمَوْلَى مَعَ الْوَرَثَةِChapter on inheritance of a freed slave with heirs
Hadith 1359

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، قَالَ: تُوُفِّيَتْ مَوْلَاةٌ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ، فَجَاءَتْ قَرَابَةٌ لَهَا مِنْ قِبَلِ النِّسَاءِ، فَأَعْطَاهَا مِيرَاثَهَا، فَجَعَلَتْ تُثْنِي عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: «لَوْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ لِي فِيهِ حَقًّا لَمَا أَعْطَيْتُكِ»
It is narrated from Mughira (may Allah have mercy on him) that a slave woman of Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) died. The female relatives came, and Ibrahim gave them inheritance and said: "If I knew I had a right in this, I would not have given it."
