Hadith 1356

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ اخْتُصِمَ إِلَيْهِ فِي غُلَامٍ مَاتَ وَتَرَكَ مَوَالِيَهُ وَأُمَّهُ، فَقَالَ الْقَاسِمُ لِأُمِّهِ: «حَمَلْتِهِ فِي بَطْنِكِ، وَأَرْضَعْتِهِ فِي ثَدْيِكِ، لَكِ الْمَالُ كُلُّهُ»
A case regarding a slave, a mother, and slaves was brought before Qasim bin Abdur Rahman (may Allah have mercy on him). Qasim said to the mother: "You carried (the child) in your womb and breastfed (him); all the wealth is yours."
