Hadith 1351

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ بِنْتُ حَمْزَةَ أُخْتِي لِأُمِّي، فَأَعْتَقَتْ مَمْلُوكًا لَهَا، فَمَاتَ الْمَمْلُوكُ وَتَرَكَ ابْنَتَهُ وَابْنَةَ حَمْزَةَ، فَأَعْطَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْنَتَهُ النِّصْفَ، وَابْنَةَ حَمْزَةَ النِّصْفَ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Shaddad (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Sayyidah Hamzah’s (may Allah be pleased with him) daughter was my stepsister. She freed her slave, and that slave died leaving behind a daughter. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) gave half of the wealth to the slave’s daughter and half to Sayyidah Hamzah’s daughter.
