Hadith 1348

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I am the guardian of the one who has no guardian, and the maternal uncle is the heir of the one who has no heir."

Brief Explanation
Status of Mursal: Tawus bin Kaysan did not hear from the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), but since Sufyan, Ibn Tawus, and Tawus—all are trustworthy (thiqa) and cautious hadith scholars, and this narration is also well-known through other routes (it has been reported in several chains), ◄ therefore, this narration is of the level of "hasan li ghayrihi" (good due to supporting narrations).
