سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، وَابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ «كَانَا يُوَرِّثَانِ الْعَمَّةَ وَالْخَالَةَ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ غَيْرُهُمَا»
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to make the paternal aunt and maternal aunt heirs when there was no one else besides them.
