سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي حَنْظَلَةَ يُقَالُ لَهُ حَسَكَةُ هَلَكَ ابْنٌ لَهُ، وَتَرَكَ أَبَاهُ حَسَكَةَ وَأُمَّ أَبِيهِ، فَرُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، فَكَتَبَ فِي ذَلِكَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ عُمَرُ أَنْ وَرِّثْ أُمَّ حَسَكَةَ مِنِ ابْنِ حَسَكَةَ مَعَ ابْنِهَا حَسَكَةَ
A man from Banu Hanzalah, who was called Hasakah, his son died and he left behind his father Hasakah and his grandmother. The matter reached Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), who wrote to Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "Give Hasakah's mother a share in her grandson's inheritance."
