سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ: أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، وَابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، وَزَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ قَالُوا «فِي الْمُشَرَّكِينَ لِلزَّوْجِ النِّصْفُ، وَلِلْأُمِّ السُّدُسُ وَمَا بَقِيَ وَهُوَ الثُّلُثُ أَشْرَكُوا فِيهِ بَيْنَ الْأُخْوَةِ وَالْأَخَوَاتِ مِنَ الْأَبِ وَالْأُمِّ وَالْأُخْوَةِ وَالْأَخَوَاتِ مِنَ الْأُمِّ، وَالذَّكَرُ وَالْأُنْثَى فِيهِ سَوَاءٌ»
Sayyiduna Umar, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud, and Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "The ruling regarding the polytheists is that the husband receives half, the mother receives one-sixth, and the remaining wealth is distributed equally among the brothers and sisters, whether they are from both the father and mother or only from the mother, and males and females will be equal."
