Hadith 1190

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَأَةَ، قَالَ: نا شَيْخٌ مِنْ هَمْدَانَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي زَوْجٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ، فَجَعَلَ لِلزَّوْجِ النِّصْفَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَسْهُمٍ، وَلِلْأُمِّ ثُلُثَ مَا بَقِيَ، وَلِلْأَبِ سَهْمَيْنِ "
It is narrated from a sheikh of Hamdan, who narrates from Harith, and he narrates from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the case of the husband and parents was presented, he gave the husband half, that is, three parts, gave the mother one third of the remaining wealth, and gave the father the remaining two parts.
