الْآيَةُ (43) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَسْتَ مُرْسَلا قُلْ كَفَى بِاللهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَمَنْ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ}Verse (43) His saying, Exalted is He: {And those who disbelieve say, "You are not a messenger." Say, "Sufficient is Allah as Witness between me and you, and [the witness of] whoever has knowledge of the Scripture"}
Hadith 1177

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَمَنْ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ } أَهُوَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ ؟ فَقَالَ: وَكَيْفَ وَهَذِهِ السُّورَةُ مَكِّيَّةٌ . وَكَانَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ يَقْرَأُ: (وَمِنْ عِنْدِهِ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ) .
Abu Bishr (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Sa'id bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) about the verse: "And he who has knowledge of the Book" — is this referring to Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him)? He replied: How can that be, when this surah is Makki? And Sa'id bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) used to recite it as: "And he who has knowledge of the Book."
