الْآيَةُ (106) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ بِاللهِ إِلا وَهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ}Verse (106) His saying, Exalted is He: {And most of them believe not in Allah except while they associate others with Him}
Hadith 1146

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: { وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ بِاللهِ إِلا وَهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ } قَالَ: كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ اللهَ رَبُّهُمْ وَهُوَ خَالِقُهُمْ وَهُوَ رَازِقُهُمْ، وَكَانُوا مَعَ ذَلِكَ يُشْرِكُونَ .
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “And most of them do not believe in Allah except while they associate others with Him” (__QUR_N__). That is, they knew that Allah alone is their Lord, Creator, and Provider, but despite that, they committed shirk.
