الْآيَةُ (20) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَشَرَوْهُ بِثَمَنٍ بَخْسٍ دَرَاهِمَ مَعْدُودَةٍ وَكَانُوا فِيهِ مِنَ الزَّاهِدِينَ}Verse (20) His saying, Exalted is He: {And they sold him for a reduced price—a few dirhams—and they were, concerning him, of those content with little}
Hadith 1112

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ السُّدِّيَّ يَحْلِفُ أَنَّ الَّذِي اشْتَرَوْا بِهِ اثْنَانِ وَعِشْرُونَ دِرْهَمًا، وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ: الْبَخْسُ الْحَرَامُ .
It is narrated from Suddi (may Allah have mercy on him): He used to swear that the price for which Sayyiduna Yusuf (peace be upon him) was bought was twenty-two dirhams, and Sufyan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Al-Bakhs" means that the deficiency refers to unlawful transactions.
