الْآيَةُ (40) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ} الْآيَةَVerse (40) His saying, Exalted is He: {Until when Our command came and the oven overflowed, We said, "Load upon it of each [creature] two mates"} the verse
Hadith 1087

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنِ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ } - قَالَ: يَفُورُ الْمَاءُ يَخْرُجُ عَلَى وَجْهِهَا، فَقِيلَ لِنُوحٍ: إِذَا رَأَيْتَ الْمَاءَ قَدْ عَلَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ فَانْزِلْ أَنْتَ وَأَصْحَابُكَ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said regarding Allah the Exalted’s statement: “And when the oven gushed forth” — that is, when water will boil and its water will appear on the surface of the earth. Then it was said to Sayyiduna Nuh (peace be upon him): When you see that the water has risen on the earth, then you and your companions board the ark.
