الْآيَةُ (18) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ}Verse (18) His saying, Exalted is He: {The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day}
Hadith 1010

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ أَبِي السَّمْحِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الرَّجُلَ يَعْتَادُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَاشْهَدُوا عَلَيْهِ بِالْإِيمَانِ، قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ مِنْ قَائِلٍ: { إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ } .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you see a person who has become accustomed to the mosque, then bear witness to his faith, because Allah the Exalted has said: "The mosques of Allah are only maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day."
