الْآيَةُ (2) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَسِيحُوا فِي الأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ}Verse (2) His saying, Exalted is He: {So travel freely, [O disbelievers], throughout the land [during] four months}
Hadith 1005

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ يُثَيْعٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْنَا عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ بُعِثْتَ ؟ قَالَ: بِأَرْبَعٍ ؛ أَنَّهُ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا نَفْسٌ مُؤْمِنَةٌ، وَلَا يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرْيَانٌ، وَلَا يَجْتَمِعُ مُسْلِمٌ وَمُشْرِكٌ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَذَا فِي الْحَجِّ، وَمَنْ كَانَ لَهُ عَهْدٌ فَعَهْدُهُ إِلَى مُدَّتِهِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ عَهْدٌ فَأَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: With what were you sent? He replied: With four things; that only a believing soul can enter Paradise, no naked person will perform Tawaf of the House of Allah, after this year Muslims and polytheists will not perform Hajj together, and whoever has a treaty, his treaty will remain until its term, and whoever has no treaty, he has a respite of four months.
