حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: سُورَةُ التَّوْبَةِ ؟ قَالَ: بَلْ هِيَ الْفَاضِحَةُ، مَا زَالَتْ تَنْزِلُ وَمِنْهُمْ وَمِنْهُمْ حَتَّى ظَنُّوا أَنْ لَا يَبْقَى أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا ذُكِرَ فِيهَا .
Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about Surah At-Tawbah. He replied: Rather, it is Al-Fadihah, meaning the exposer (the one that disgraces). In it, «اور ان میں سے» and «اور ان میں سے» kept being revealed continuously until people thought that none of them would remain except that their mention would come in it.
