قَالَ اللهُ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ: {وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ مِنْ إِمْلَاقٍ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَإِيَّاهُمْ} [الأنعام: 151] وَقَالَ: {وَإِذَا الْمَوْءُودَةُ سُئِلَتْ بِأِيِّ ذَنْبٍ قُتِلَتْ} وَقَالَ: {قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوا أَوْلَادَهُمْ سَفَهًا بِغَيْرِ عَلِمٍ} [الأنعام: 140].
Allah, exalted be His praise, says: 'And do not kill your children out of poverty; We provide for you and for them.' [Surah al-An'am: 151]
And He said: 'And when the girl buried alive is asked for what sin she was killed.' [Surah al-Takwir: 8-9]
