Hadith 3811
نَا نَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْفَزَارِيُّ ، نَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " يُؤَجَّلُ الْعِنِّينُ سَنَةً " ،.
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "An impotent man will be given a respite of one year."
Hadith 3812
نَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شَاذَانَ ، نَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً.
This narration is also transmitted with another chain of transmission.
Hadith 3813
نَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ ، نَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، نَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، فِي الَّذِي لا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ امْرَأَتَهُ ، قَالَ : " يُؤَجَّلُ سَنَةً " .
Saeed bin al-Musayyib, regarding a man who is unable to have intercourse with his wife, said: "He should be given a respite of one year."
Hadith 3814
نَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ ، نَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الرُّكَيْنِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، وَحُصَيْنَ بْنَ قَبِيصَةَ ، يُحَدِّثَانِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " يُؤَجَّلُ سَنَةً فَإِنْ أَتَاهَا ، وَإِلا فُرِّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Such a person will be given a respite of one year; if he becomes able to have intercourse, then fine, otherwise separation will be effected between the husband and wife."
Hadith 3815
وَبِهِ عَنِ وَبِهِ عَنِ الرُّكَيْنِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ أَبِي النُّعْمَانِ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ " فِي الْعِنِّينِ ، فَقَالَ : يُؤَجَّلُ سَنَةً " .
Abu Nu’man reports: We went to ask Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) about an impotent man, so he said: “He should be given a respite of one year.”
Hadith 3816
نَا نَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ ، نَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، نَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الرُّكَيْنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْقٍ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : " الْعِنِّينُ يُؤَجَّلُ سَنَةً " .
Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “An impotent man will be given a respite of one year.”
Hadith 3817
نَا نَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ ، نَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَأَةَ ، عَنِ الرُّكَيْنِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ ، أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ " أَجَّلَهُ سَنَةً مِنْ يَوْمِ رَافَعَتْهُ " ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ : وَكَذَلِكَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ ، وَمَالِكٌ : " مِنْ يَوْمِ تُرَافِعُهُ ".
Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “An impotent man will be given a respite of one year, and this will be counted from the day the woman filed the case.” Abdur Rahman said: Sufyan Thawri and Imam Malik have given the same verdict: (The calculation of this respite will begin from the day) the woman filed the case.
