Abu Umamah Taymi, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both: I rent out things in this manner, and now they say that your Hajj is not valid? So Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: A man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and asked him about the same issue that you have asked me about. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, remained silent until this verse was revealed: "There is no sin upon you if you seek the bounty of your Lord." Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Your Hajj is valid."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about a person who shaved his head before offering the sacrifice, or slaughtered before performing the stoning (rami), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept saying: "There is no harm, there is no harm."

We replied: Yes! Then Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him about the same thing you have asked me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give him any answer until Jibreel (peace be upon him) descended with this verse: "There is no sin upon you if you seek the bounty of your Lord." He (peace be upon him) rose slightly and then said: "Have you heard what I have said?" A man who was behind the people said: "What did the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say, or what did he mean?" So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Obey your Lord, perform the five prayers, pay the zakat on your wealth, fast in your specified month, obey your rulers, and enter the Paradise of your Lord." The narrator says: I asked Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him): "How long ago did you hear this hadith?" He replied: "I was thirty years old at that time."
