مَا جَاءَ فِي الْحَجَرِ الْأَسْوَدِ
What is reported regarding the Black Stone
Hadith 2740
ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نا يَزِيدُ الْعَدَنِيُّ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْزَقُ وَجْهَهُ وَصَدْرَهُ بِالْمُلْتَزِمِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placing his blessed face and chest against the Multazam.
Hadith 2741
ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، وَآخَرُونَ قَالُوا : نا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ الْقَاضِي ، نا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، ثنا ابْنُ يَمَانٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَ عَلَى الْحَجَرِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his forehead on the Black Stone.
Hadith 2742
ثنا ثنا ابْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَغَوِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ، وَأَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَابْنَ عُمَرَ ، وَجَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِذَا اسْتَلَمُوا الْحَجَرَ قَبَّلُوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ " ، فَقُلْتُ : وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ؟ فَقَالَ : وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ حَسِبْتُهُ كَثِيرًا.
Ata reports: I saw Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Umar, and Sayyiduna Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them), when they performed istilam of the Black Stone, they used to kiss their hands. The narrator states: I asked, "Have you also seen Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas doing this?" He replied, "I have seen Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas doing this many times."
Hadith 2743
ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا الرَّمَادِيُّ ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، أنا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَبِّلُ الرُّكْنَ الْيَمَانِي وَيَضَعُ خَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to kiss the Yemeni Corner and would place his blessed cheek upon it.
