بَابُ الْغُسْلِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ
Chapter on bathing for the Muhrim
Hadith 2673
ثنا أَبُو حَامِدٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمِ الْمُقَوِّمِيُّ ، نا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : اخْتَلَفَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَالْمِسْوَرُ بْنُ مَخْرَمَةَ فِي غَسْلِ الْمُحْرِمِ رَأْسَهُ فَأَرْسَلُونِي إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَسْأَلُهُ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ ؟ " فَصَبَّ الْمَاءَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ، وَأَقْبَلَ بِيَدَيْهِ وَأَدْبَرَ بِهِمَا " .
Ibrahim bin Abdullah narrates from his father: There was a disagreement between Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas and Sayyiduna Miswar bin Makhramah regarding whether a person in the state of ihram can wash his head or not. So they sent me to Hazrat Ayub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) to find out how he had seen the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) do it—whether the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to wash his head while in the state of ihram or not. So Sayyiduna Ayub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) poured water over his head, moved his hand forward and backward, and then brought it back from behind.
Hadith 2674
ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ الْخَالِقِ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رِشْدِينَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ أُمُّهُ كَبْشَةُ بِنْتُ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ عَمَّةُ الأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي آلَيْتُ أَنْ أَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ حَبْوًا ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " طُوفِي عَلَى رِجْلَيْكَ سَبْعَيْنِ ، سَبْعًا عَنْ يَدَيْكِ وَسَبْعًا عَنْ رِجْلَيْكَ " .
Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Khudayj (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and with him was his mother, Kabshah bint Ma'dikarib. His mother said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have made a vow that I will perform Tawaf of the House of Allah in Sirin." So the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Perform Tawaf on your feet, seven times from both sides of your hands and seven times from both sides of your feet."
