بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنِ الصِّيَامِ أَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ
Chapter on the prohibition of fasting during the days of Tashreeq
Hadith 2407
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْخَلِيلِ ، ثنا الْوَاقِدِيُّ ، ثنا رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، سَمِعَ مَسْعُودَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ الزُّرَقِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حُذَافَةَ السَّهْمِيُّ ، يَقُولُ : بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ أَيَّامَ مِنًى أُنَادِي : " أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، إِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ وَبِعَالٍ " . الْوَاقِدِيُّ ضَعِيفٌ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Huzafah Sahmi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent me on his she-camel during the days of Mina so that I may announce: "O people! These are days of eating, drinking, and intimacy." The narrator of this narration, Waqidi, is weak.
Hadith 2408
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ بُهْلُولٍ ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الأَسْلَمِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَجُلا يَتَتَبَّعُ رِحَالَ النَّاسِ بِمِنًى أَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ عَلَى جَمَلٍ لَهُ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " أَلا لا تَصُومُوا هَذِهِ الأَيَّامَ ، فَإِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ " ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِهِمْ . قَالَ قَتَادَةُ : إِنَّ الْمُنَادِيَ كَانَ بِلالا ، قَتَادَةُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ.
Sayyiduna Hamzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He saw a man who was going near the residences of people in Mina during the days of Tashreeq. He was riding a camel and saying: "Beware! Do not fast on these days, for these are days of eating and drinking, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is present among you." The narrator named Qatadah has reported that the person making this announcement was Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrator named Qatadah has not heard hadith from Sulayman bin Yasar.
Hadith 2409
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْفَارِسِيُّ ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ خَرَّزَاذَ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الطَّحَّانُ ، ثنا أبِي ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ صَوْمِ خَمْسَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِي السَّنَةِ : يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ ، وَيَوْمِ النَّحْرِ ، وَثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ " . قَالَ عُثْمَانُ : مَا كَتَبْنَاهُ إِلا عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ.
Qatadah narrates from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting on five days of the year: "The day of Eid al-Fitr, the day of Eid al-Adha, and the three days of Tashreeq." The narrator named Uthman states: We have narrated this same report from Muhammad bin Khalid.
Hadith 2410
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ، ثنا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ ، ثنا أَبُو الأَزْهَرِ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُرَحْبِيلَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمْرَو بْنَ حَزْمٍ فِي زَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ نِصْفُ صَاعٍ مِنْ حِنْطَةٍ ، أَوْ صَاعٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ " .
Nafi' reports: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated this: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed Sayyiduna Amr bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding Sadaqat al-Fitr that: "It will be half a sa' of wheat or one sa' of dates."
Hadith 2411
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَشِّرٍ ، ثنا عَمَّارُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ الأَزْرَقُ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " لا تَشْتَرُوا اللَّبَنَ فِي ضُرُوعِهَا وَلا الصُّوفَ عَلَى ظُهُورِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: "When the milk is present in the udder, do not make a transaction for it, and when the wool is not present (on the animal's back), do not make a transaction for it."
Hadith 2412
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَطِيرِيُّ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ ، ثنا أبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الزُّرَقِيِّ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ حُذَافَةَ ، فَنَادَى فِي أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ : " أَلا إِنَّ هَذِهِ الأَيَّامَ عِيدٌ ، وَأَكْلٌ وَشُرْبٌ وَذِكْرٌ ، فَلا تَصُومُوهُنَّ إِلا مُحْصَرٌ أَوْ مُتَمَتِّعٌ لَمْ يَجِدْ هَدْيًا ، وَلَمْ يَصُمْ فِي أَيَّامِ الْحَجِّ الْمُتَتَابِعَةِ فَلْيَصُمْهُنَّ " .
Masood bin Hakam Zarqi narrates from a companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him): By the order of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Huzafah (may Allah be pleased with him) made this announcement during the days of Tashreeq: "Beware! These are the days of Eid, these are the days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah, so only that person should fast on these days who is prevented (from performing Hajj), or a pilgrim who does not have a sacrificial animal with him, or one who has not fasted continuously during the days of Hajj, he may fast on these days."
