Hadith 2277
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would break his fast, he would eat a few dates or a few dry dates, and if these were not available, he would drink a few sips of water.
Hadith 2278
Thabit Banani narrates: He heard Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to break his fast with a few dates; if there were no dates, he would eat dried dates; if those were also not available, he would drink a few sips of water. The chain of this hadith is authentic.
