Hadith 1896
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُجَمِّعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ وَاقِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَعَائِشَةَ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْخُذُ مِنْ كُلِّ عِشْرِينَ دِينَارًا نِصْفَ دِينَارٍ ، وَمِنَ الأَرْبَعِينَ دِينَارًا دِينَارًا " .
Abdullah bin Waqid narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to collect half a dinar out of every twenty dinars and one dinar out of every forty dinars (i.e., two and a half percent zakat).
Hadith 1897
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَغْرَاءَ ، ثنا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِي تِسْعِينَ وَمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ زَكَاةٌ ، إِلا أَنْ يَشَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا ، وَإِذَا تَمَّتْ مِائَتَيْ دِرْهَمٍ فَفِيهَا خَمْسَةُ دَرَاهِمَ ، فَإِذَا زَادَتْ فَعَلَى نَحْوِ ذَلِكَ " .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "No payment is obligatory on one hundred and ninety dirhams, except if its owner wishes (he may make a payment). When they become a full two hundred, then payment of five dirhams will be obligatory from them. When they exceed this, then payment will be obligatory according to the same calculation."
Hadith 1898
ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكَاتِبُ ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّائِغُ ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ أَبُو يَعْقُوبَ ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَاتُوا رُبْعَ الْعُشُورِ مِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا دِرْهَمًا ، وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ الْمِائَتَيْنِ شَيْءٌ فَإِذَا كَانَتْ مِائَتَيْنِ فَفِيهَا خَمْسَةُ دَرَاهِمَ ، فَمَا زَادَ فَعَلَى حِسَابِ ذَلِكَ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take a quarter of a tenth (i.e., two and a half percent) from every forty dirhams; there is no payment due on less than two hundred (dirhams). When they reach two hundred, then five dirhams are due from them. When it is more than that, then payment will be due according to the same calculation."
Hadith 1899
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَاعِدٍ ، ثنا أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَسَّانِيُّ ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يَحِلُّ فِي الْبُرِّ وَالتَّمْرِ زَكَاةٌ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ خَمْسَةَ أَوْسُقٍ ، وَلا يَحِلُّ فِي الْوَرِقِ زَكَاةٌ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ خَمْسَ أَوَاقٍ ، وَلا يَحِلُّ فِي الإِبِلِ زَكَاةٌ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ خَمْسَ ذَوْدٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Zakat is not obligatory on wheat and dates until they reach the amount of five wasq, and zakat is not obligatory on silver until it reaches five uqiyyah, and zakat is not obligatory on camels until they reach five camels."
Hadith 1900
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ ، وَمَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيَّ ، حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلا فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ مِنَ الإِبِلِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ مِنَ التَّمْرِ صَدَقَةٌ " .
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Zakat is not obligatory on less than five awqiyah of silver, nor on less than five camels, nor on less than five wasq of dates."
Hadith 1901
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقُرَشِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَن النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ مِنَ الْوَرِقِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلا فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ مِنَ الإِبِلِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلا فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوْسُقٍ مِنَ التَّمْرِ صَدَقَةٌ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Zakat is not obligatory on silver less than five awqiyah, nor on camels less than five, nor on dates less than five wasq."
Hadith 1902
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الدَّقَّاقُ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ شَيْءٌ ، وَلا فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ مِنَ الْغَنَمِ شَيْءٌ ، وَلا فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلاثِينَ مِنَ الْبَقَرِ شَيْءٌ ، وَلا فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ عِشْرِينَ مِثْقَالا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ شَيْءٌ ، وَلا فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ مِائَتَيْ دِرْهَمٍ شَيْءٌ ، وَلا فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ شَيْءٌ ، وَالْعُشْرُ فِي التَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ وَالْحِنْطَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ ، وَمَا سُقِيَ سَيْحًا فَفِيهِ الْعُشْرُ ، وَمَا سُقِيَ بِالْغَرْبِ فَفِيهِ نِصْفُ الْعُشْرِ " .
Amr ibn Shu'aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No (zakat) payment is due on less than five camels, no payment is due on less than forty goats, no payment is due on less than thirty cows, no payment is due on less than twenty mithqal of gold, no payment is due on less than two hundred dirhams (of silver), and no payment is due on less than five wasq (of grain). As for dates, grapes, wheat, and barley, the 'ushr (one-tenth) will be taken from them; that which is irrigated naturally, the full 'ushr is due, and that which is irrigated by buckets (artificially), half of the 'ushr is due."
