Hadith 1866
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ الأَخْنَسِ ، عَنْ أَبِي غَطَفَانَ الْمُرِّيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ ، وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ ، وَمَنْ أَشَارَ فِي صَلاتِهِ إِشَارَةً تُفْهَمُ عَنْهُ فَلْيُعِدْهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Saying ‘Subhan Allah’ is prescribed for men (to draw the attention of the imam), and clapping is prescribed for women. And whoever makes such a gesture during prayer that is understood (by others), then that person must repeat that prayer.”
Hadith 1867
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الدَّقَّاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي غَطَفَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَشَارَ فِي صَلاتِهِ إِشَارَةً تُفْهَمُ عَنْهُ فَلْيُعِدْ صَلاتَهُ " . قَالَ لَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ : أَبُو غَطَفَانَ هَذَا رَجُلٌ مَجْهُولٌ ، وَآخِرُ الْحَدِيثِ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْحَدِيثِ وَلَعَلَّهُ مِنْ قَوْلِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، وَالصَّحِيحُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُشِيرُ فِي الصَّلاةِ . رَوَاهُ أَنَسٌ ، وَجَابِرٌ ، وَغَيْرُهُمَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ الشَّيْخُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ : وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ، وَعَائِشَةُ أَيْضًا.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever makes such a gesture during prayer that can be understood, then that person must repeat his prayer." One of the narrators of this narration is unknown, and the last part of the narration is an addition to the narration; it is possible that these are the words of the narrator. It is authentically established from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he used to make gestures during prayer. This hadith has been narrated from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) by Sayyiduna Anas, Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them), and other noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them). Shaykh Abul Hasan (i.e., Imam Daraqutni, may Allah have mercy on him) says: This narration has also been narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar and Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with them).
Hadith 1868
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْعَجَمِيُّ ، وَخُشَيْشُ بْنُ أَصْرَمَ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، ثنا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُشِيرُ فِي الصَّلاةِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to gesture during the prayer.
Hadith 1869
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ عَسْكَرٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُشِيرُ فِي الصَّلاةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to gesture during the prayer.
