بَابُ مَكَانِ قَبْرِ آدَمَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا
Chapter on the place of Adam's grave (peace be upon him) and saying takbir over him four times
Hadith 1812
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْعَلافُ ، ثنا صَبَاحُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، وَعُرْوَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّى جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ عَلَى آدَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ ، كَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا ، صَلَّى جِبْرِيلُ بِالْمَلائِكَةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ ، وَدُفِنَ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ ، وَأُخِذَ مِنْ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ وَلُحِدَ لَهُ وَسُنِمَ قَبْرُهُ " . عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ هُرْمُزَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَزْرَةَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَوْلَهُ بَعْضَ هَذَا الْكَلامِ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Jibril (peace be upon him) performed the funeral prayer for Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him). He recited four takbirs over Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him). Jibril (peace be upon him) led the angels in prayer on that day, and Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) was buried in "Masjid Khayf." His face was turned towards the Qiblah, a lahd (side niche) was made for him, and lime was applied to his grave. The narrator of this narration, Abdur Rahman bin Malik, is abandoned. Other narrators have transmitted some parts of this narration as the statement of ‘Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him).
Hadith 1813
ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ الْبَزَّازُ ، ثنا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْحَدَّادُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عُتَيٍّ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمَلائِكَةَ صَلَّتْ عَلَى آدَمَ فَكَبَّرَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا ، وَقَالُوا : هَذِهِ سُنَّتُكُمْ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ " .
Sayyiduna Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels performed the funeral prayer for Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him); they recited four takbirs over him. They said: O children of Adam! This is your method (for performing the funeral prayer)."
Hadith 1814
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، ثنا رَحْمَةُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عُتَيٍّ ، عَنْ أُبَيٍّ بِهَذَا مَوْقُوفًا .
The same narration is also transmitted with another chain of narration from Sayyiduna Abi (may Allah be pleased with him) as a "Mawquf" narration.
Hadith 1815
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الدَّقَّاقُ ، وَآَخَرُونَ ، قَالُوا : ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوْحٍ ، نا شَبَابَةُ ، ثنا خَارِجَةُ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عُتَيٍّ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا.
The same narration is also transmitted with another chain of narration from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
Hadith 1816
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْقَلانِسِيُّ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ ، ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، كَذَا قَالَ : قَالَ : " كَبَّرَتِ الْمَلائِكَةُ عَلَى آدَمَ أَرْبَعًا ، وَكَبَّرَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعًا ، وَكَبَّرَ عُمَرُ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَرْبَعًا ، وَكَبَّرَ صُهَيْبٌ عَلَى عُمَرَ أَرْبَعًا ، وَكَبَّرَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى عَلِيٍّ أَرْبَعًا ، وَكَبَّرَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ أَرْبَعًا " . مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ هَذَا ضَعِيفٌ.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The angels said four takbirs over Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him); Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said four takbirs over the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him); Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said four takbirs over Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him); Sayyiduna Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him) said four takbirs over Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him); Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) said four takbirs over Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him); Sayyiduna Imam Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said four takbirs over Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrator of this narration, Muhammad bin Walid, is weak.
