Hadith 1811
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَهْلِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، ثنا عُبَيْدٌ الْعِجْلُ ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تُنَجِّسُوا مَوْتَاكُمْ فَإِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ لَيْسَ بِنَجَسٍ حَيًّا وَلا مَيِّتًا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not declare your deceased as impure, for a Muslim is not impure in any state, whether alive or dead."
