بَابُ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْقَرْيَةِ
Chapter on Jumu'ah being obligatory for the people of the village
Hadith 1592
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ التُّجِيبِيُّ ، ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الدَّوْسِيَّةِ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْجُمُعَةُ وَاجِبَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهَا إِلا أَرْبَعَةٌ " ، يَعْنِي بِالْقُرَى : الْمَدَائِنَ ، لا يَصِحُّ هَذَا عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ.
Sayyida Umm Abdullah Dusiya (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jumu'ah is obligatory upon the inhabitants of every settlement, even if only four people remain in that settlement." Here, "settlement" refers to a city, and this statement is not authentically transmitted from Zuhri.
Hadith 1593
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الأُبُلِّيُّ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ الْكَلاعِيُّ ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الدَّوْسِيَّةُ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْجُمُعَةُ وَاجِبَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ فِيهَا إِمَامٌ ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا إِلا أَرْبَعَةٌ " . الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُوَقَّرِيُّ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَلا يَصِحُّ هَذَا عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، كُلُّ مَنْ رَوَاهُ عَنْهُ مَتْرُوكٌ.
Sayyida Umm Abdullah Dusiya (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is obligatory for the people of every settlement to perform Jumu'ah, in which there is an imam, even if there are only four people in that settlement." In this narration, one of the narrators, Walid bin Muhammad, is abandoned, and this narration is not authentically transmitted from Zuhri; all the narrators who have transmitted it are abandoned.
Hadith 1594
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأُبُلِّيُّ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ ، ثنا مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ عُلَيٍّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الدَّوْسِيَّةِ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " الْجُمُعَةُ وَاجِبَةٌ عَلَى أَهْلِ كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا إِلا ثَلاثَةً رَابِعُهُمْ إِمَامُهُمْ " . الزُّهْرِيُّ لا يَصِحُّ سَمَاعُهُ مِنَ الدَّوْسِيَّةِ ، وَالْحَكَمُ هَذَا مَتْرُوكٌ.
Sayyida Umm Abdullah Dusiya (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is obligatory upon the inhabitants of every settlement to perform Jumu'ah, even if only three people remain there and the fourth is their imam." Zuhri's hearing of hadith from Sayyida Dusiya (may Allah be pleased with her) is not authentically established, and the narrator of this narration, Hakam, is abandoned.
