بَابٌ: لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ إِلَّا سَجْدَتَيْنِ
Chapter: No prayer after Fajr except two rak'ahs
Hadith 1549
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمَالِكِيُّ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، أنا قُدَامَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ التَّمِيمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ يَسَارٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : رَآنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ أُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ فَحَصَبَنِي ، وَقَالَ : يَا يَسَارُ ، كَمْ صَلَّيْتَ ؟ قُلْتُ : لا أَدْرِي ، قَالَ : لا دَرَيْتَ ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ نُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلاةَ فَتَغَيَّظَ عَلَيْنَا تَغَيُّظًا شَدِيدًا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " لِيُبَلِّغْ شَاهِدُكُمْ غَائِبَكُمْ أَنْ لا صَلاةَ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ إِلا سَجْدَتَيْنِ " .
Yasar narrates: Once, Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw me performing (nafl) prayer after the true dawn had appeared, so he threw pebbles at me and said: "O Yasar! How many rak'ahs have you performed?" I replied: I do not remember. So he said: "You do not understand. Once, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us while we were performing this prayer (i.e., nafl at this time), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) expressed intense displeasure at us and said: Let all those present convey this to those who are absent: After the true dawn has appeared, only two rak'ahs (of sunnah) may be performed."
Hadith 1550
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِرْدَاسٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، عَنْ قُدَامَةَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ يَسَارٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : رَآنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَنَا أُصَلِّي بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا يَسَارُ ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ نُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلاةَ ، فَقَالَ : " لِيُبَلِّغْ شَاهِدُكُمْ غَائِبَكُمْ ، لا تُصَلُّوا بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ إِلا سَجْدَتَيْنِ " .
Yasar narrates: Once, Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw me performing voluntary prayers after the true dawn had appeared. Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "O Yasar! Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us while we were performing this same prayer (i.e., voluntary prayers at this time), and he said: Let all people convey this message to those present and those absent: After the true dawn has appeared, only two rak'ahs (the Sunnah) may be performed (no other prayer can be performed at this time)."
Hadith 1551
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْبَزَّازُ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْحَسَّانِيُّ ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَنْعَمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا صَلاةَ بَعْدَ صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ إِلا رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After the true dawn has appeared, no prayer can be performed except the two rak‘ahs of Sunnah."
