Hadith 1500
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمْدُونُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، وَالْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، كِلاهُمَا عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : " مَرِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشَرَةَ أَيَّامٍ ، فَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ تِسْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمَ الْعَاشِرِ وَجَدَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خِفَّةً ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُهَادَى بَيْنَ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، فَصَلَّى خَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَاعِدًا " .
Hasan al-Basri narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was ill for ten days, during nine of those days, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people in prayer. On the tenth day, when the Prophet (peace be upon him) felt some improvement, he came out walking with the support of Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him), and he performed the prayer sitting, following Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) as the imam.
