بَابُ صِفَةِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْجَمْعِ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ مِنْ غَيْرِ عُذْرٍ وَصِفَةِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي السَّفِينَةِ.
Chapter on the description of prayer during travel, combining two prayers without excuse, and praying on a ship
Hadith 1472
حَدَّثَنَاهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، ثنا ابْنُ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ قَائِمًا إِلا أَنْ يَخْشَى الْغَرَقَ " . قَالَ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ : يَعْنِي فِي السَّفِينَةِ ، فِيهِ رَجُلٌ مَجْهُولٌ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him): The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him: "He should perform the prayer standing, except in the case where he fears drowning." Imam Daraqutni states: What is meant is that he should perform the prayer standing in the boat.
Hadith 1473
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُبَشِّرٍ ، ثنا جَابِرٌ ، ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عُلْوَانَ الْكَلْبِيُّ ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ إِلَى الْحَبَشَةِ ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كَيْفَ أُصَلِّي ؟ قَالَ : " صَلِّ فِيهَا قَائِمًا إِلا أَنْ تَخَافَ الْغَرَقَ " . حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عُلْوَانَ مَتْرُوكٌ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Ja’far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) to Abyssinia, he asked: “O Messenger of Allah! How should we perform prayer on a boat?” The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Perform prayer standing in it, but if you fear drowning (then perform prayer sitting).” One of the narrators of this narration, Husayn bin ‘Alwan, is abandoned.
Hadith 1474
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ سَهْلٍ الْبَرْبَهَارِيُّ مِنْ أَصْلِهِ ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ فَافَا ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمُ ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّلاةِ ، قَالَ : " صَلِّ قَائِمًا إِلا أَنْ تَخَافَ الْغَرَقَ " .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about performing prayer on a boat, so he said: "It should be performed standing, except if you fear drowning (then the ruling is different)."
Hadith 1475
ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ أَبِي حَيَّةَ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، قَالا : نا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ صَلاتَيْنِ مِنْ غَيْرِ عُذْرٍ فَقَدْ أَتَى بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْكَبَائِرِ " . حَنَشٌ هَذَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرَّحَبِيُّ مَتْرُوكٌ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates the statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever combines two prayers without a valid excuse will have committed a major sin." The Shaykh says: Hanash Abu Ali Rahbi is the narrator, and he is abandoned (matruk).
