(When he finished), the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked him: "Which two rak'ahs are these?" Sayyiduna Qais bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man performing two rak‘ahs after the Fajr prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: “Is the morning prayer performed twice?” The man replied: I had not performed the two rak‘ahs (Sunnah) before Fajr, so I am performing them now. The narrator states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. Here, the narrator named Qais refers to the grandfather of Yahya bin Sa‘id.
Hadith 1441
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once we were with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on a military expedition (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps the words are:) on a journey to participate in a campaign. When the last part of the night came, we camped (and slept), and we did not wake up until the heat of the sun woke us. We became frightened. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up, he instructed us to move from there. Then we traveled a little until the sun had risen somewhat high. The people relieved themselves, then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to give the adhan. Then we performed two rak‘ahs, then, by the order of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he gave the iqamah, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the morning prayer. We said: O Messenger of Allah! Should we not make up for it tomorrow at its time? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people: “Would Allah forbid you from usury, and then Himself accept it from you?”
Hadith 1442
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us with a sermon (after which the narrator mentioned the entire hadith), in which these words are found: "Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no negligence in sleep; negligence is for the one who does not perform the prayer until the time for the next prayer arrives. Whoever does so, let him perform that prayer as soon as he becomes aware of it, or if the next day comes, then let him perform it at its time."
Hadith 1443
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If it is a worldly matter of yours, then it is your concern, and if it is a religious matter, then it will come to me." We submitted: O Messenger of Allah! We sometimes fall short regarding our prayers. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no negligence in sleeping; negligence is in wakefulness. When such a situation occurs, then perform that prayer (after waking up) or perform it at its time on the next day."
Hadith 1444
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The issue of people sleeping through the time of prayer was mentioned before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he (peace be upon him) said: "There is no negligence in sleeping; negligence is in wakefulness. When someone forgets a prayer or sleeps through its time, then as soon as he remembers, he should perform it, or on the next day at the same time (as a make-up prayer), he should perform it." The narrator states: Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) heard me narrating this hadith, so he said to me: O young man! Remember the hadith you are narrating, for I too have heard this hadith from the tongue of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 1445
This same narration is also transmitted through another chain from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), in which there is a similar incident. However, in this narration, these words are present: "We said: Should we not pay it tomorrow?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty has forbidden you from usury, and He Himself will collect it?"
Hadith 1446
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: (After this, he narrated a similar report, in which these words are present): "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has forbidden you from usury, and will He Himself accept it from you?"
