صَلَاةُ النِّسَاءِ بِإِمَامَةِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ
Women praying with a woman as their imam
Hadith 1084
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْبَغَوِيُّ ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ شَبَّةَ ، نا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، نا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ جُمَيْعٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ وَرَقَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَذِنَ لَهَا أَنْ يُؤَذَّنَ لَهَا وَيُقَامَ وَتَؤُمَّ نِسَاءَهَا " .
Sayyida Umm Waraqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had permitted her: "The call to prayer (adhan) should be given for her, and the iqamah should be said for her, and she should lead the women in prayer (i.e., she should conduct congregational prayer for them)."
