Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once we were traveling with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) until the time of morning approached. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered us to camp. The people fell asleep and slept until the sun had risen high. The first to wake up was Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). No one would wake the Prophet (peace be upon him) from sleep until he woke up himself. When Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) woke up and saw that the sun had risen high, he sat by the head of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and began to say the takbir in a loud voice until the Prophet (peace be upon him) woke up. When he woke up and saw that the sun had risen high, he departed from there. He traveled a little until the sun was shining brightly. Then he camped and led us in prayer. One of those present stayed apart and did not pray with us. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) finished the prayer, he asked: "What prevented you from praying with us?" He replied: "O Messenger of Allah! I am in a state of major impurity (janabah)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered him: "Perform tayammum with earth and pray." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent me ahead with some riders to search for water, as we were extremely thirsty. We were traveling when we saw a woman who had two water skins with her. We asked her: "Where is water?" She replied: "There is no water here." We asked: "How far is it between us and water?" She replied: "A day and a night's journey." We said: "Come with us to the Messenger of Allah." She asked: "Where is the Messenger of Allah?" So we brought her to the Prophet (peace be upon him). She told the Prophet (peace be upon him) the same thing she had told us, but she added that she was the mother of orphan children. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered that her water skins be opened from the bottom. Forty thirsty people drank from them until we were all satisfied. We filled every vessel and bowl we had. We gave water to our companion for ghusl, but we did not give water to our camels. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered: "Bring whatever you have." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) gathered pieces of bread, dates, and so on for her, tied them in a bundle, and said: "Go and feed this to your family, and know that we have not decreased anything from your water." When she returned home, she said: "I have met the greatest magician, or he is a Prophet, as the people say." The narrator says that because of this woman, Allah guided her tribe. The woman became Muslim, and her tribe also became Muslim. Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) has narrated this report from Abu al-Walid with this chain, while Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) has narrated it from Ahmad bin Sa'id al-Darimi.

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that one night the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) traveled with us. Then we camped at night and slept, and we woke up due to the heat of the sun. Six of us woke up, whose names I have forgotten. Then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) woke up and forbade the people from waking the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Perhaps Allah has kept the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) here for a reason." Then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) kept saying the takbir until the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up. The people said: "Our prayer has been missed." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your prayer has not been lost. You people move on." Then we moved on and continued traveling. At one place, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) camped and performed the prayer. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Now your prayer is complete." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! So-and-so did not perform the prayer with us." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked that person: "Why did you not perform the prayer with us?" He replied: "I had become junub (in a state of major ritual impurity)." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform tayammum with earth and offer the prayer, and when you are able to find water, then perform ghusl." Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in search of water. Each one of us had a vessel the size of a rabbit's ear, which was between his clothes and his body. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) felt thirsty, we hurried forward. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued traveling until the sun had risen high. A person was seen. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "You people stay here, I will see who this is." The narrator says that it was a woman who had two water skins with her. She was asked: "O bondswoman of Allah! Where is water here?" She replied: "There is no water here. By Allah! I set out yesterday in search of water. I have traveled the whole day and night, and now this time has come." So they said: "Come with us to the Messenger of Allah." She said: "Who is the Messenger of Allah?" The people said: "Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the Messenger of Allah." She said: "The one who is mad and belongs to the Quraysh?" The people said: "He is not mad, he is the Messenger of Allah." The woman said: "Let me go, I have left my small children and goats behind. I fear that one of them may die of thirst." But they did not listen to her and brought her to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). By the order of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), her camel was made to sit down. Then her water skin was opened from the top. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for a large vessel, filled it with water, and gave it to the junub person. He said: "Go and perform ghusl." The narrator says: By Allah! We filled every vessel and every water skin present there with water. The woman kept watching. Then the mouth of her water skin was closed from the top, and the camel was made to stand up. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O woman! This is your water. By Allah! Allah has increased it, not a single drop has been decreased from your water." Then, by the order of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), a sheet was brought for the woman. He said: "Whoever has anything, let him bring it." Someone brought shoes, someone brought clothes, someone brought a handful of barley, someone brought a handful of wheat, until everything was brought and tied up and given to her. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her about her tribe, and she informed him. The narrator says that then the woman left and went to her tribe. The people asked: "Where were you delayed?" She said: "I was caught by the madman from the Quraysh. By Allah! There is something in him, either he is a magician between this and that." The woman meant between the sky and the earth: "Or he is truly the Messenger of Allah." The narrator says that the military detachments sent by the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to attack the people around her tribe, but they remained safe. The narrator says that the woman said to her tribe: "O my people! By Allah! I think that this man is doing this as a favor to you, because they used your water. Have you not noticed that the people around you are being attacked, but you are safe, you are not being attacked? Do you want good?" The people asked: "What is that?" The woman said: "Let us go to the service of the Messenger of Allah and accept Islam." The narrator says that she brought thirty families, they pledged allegiance at the blessed hand of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and accepted Islam.

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we were on a journey with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). We traveled throughout the night. When the last part of the night came, we fell asleep. At that time, there was nothing more delightful than sleep. The heat of the sun woke us up. He narrated the hadith as usual. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "O so-and-so! Did you not pray with us?" He replied: "O Messenger of Allah! I became junub (in a state of major ritual impurity) and there was no water available." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Use earth (for tayammum), it will be better for you." In this narration, these words are also present: The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked for a vessel, poured water from the mouths of the water skins into the vessels, then he rinsed his mouth and poured that water back into the vessel, then he poured that vessel of water back into those water skins, closed their mouths from the top and opened them from the bottom. Then he announced among the people: "Let them drink water themselves and give their animals to drink as well." Whoever wanted to drink himself, drank, and whoever wanted to give their animals to drink, did so. In the end, water was given to the person who had become junub. He was given a vessel of water and was told: "Pour this over your body." The woman stood up and kept watching what was happening with her water. The narrator says: By Allah! When their mouths were closed, it seemed as if those water skins were even fuller than they were at the beginning. He narrated the rest of the hadith in a similar manner.
