Hadith 713
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رُمَيْسٍ ، نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ ، نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مَانِعٍ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ ، نا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْكُوفِيُّ أَسَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، نا صَالِحُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَؤُمُّ الْمُتَيَمِّمُ الْمُتَوَضِّئِينَ " . إِسْنَادُهُ ضَعِيفٌ.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person who performs tayammum should not lead those who have performed wudu in prayer." Its chain of narration is weak.
Hadith 714
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ ، نا حَجَّاجٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : " لا يَؤُمُّ الْمُقَيَّدُ الْمُطْلَقِينَ وَلا الْمُتَيَمِّمُ الْمُتَوَضِّئِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "A person in chains should not lead the free people in prayer, and a person performing tayammum should not lead those who have performed wudu in prayer."
Hadith 715
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شَاذَانَ ، نا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، نا يَعْقُوبُ ، وَحَفْصٌ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ نَحْوَهُ فِي التَّيَمُّمِ.
This narration regarding tayammum is also transmitted with another chain of narration.
Hadith 716
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَاعِدٍ ، وأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ ، والْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، وعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ السَّوَّاقُ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الْقَزَّازُ ، نا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَيَمَّمُ بِمَوْضِعٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ : مِرْبَدُ النَّعَمِ ، وَهُوَ يَرَى بُيُوتَ الْمَدِينَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: "I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing tayammum at a place called Marbad al-Na'am while he was facing towards the houses of Madinah Munawwarah from that location."
