Hadith 585
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الأَشْعَثِ ، نا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، وأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَكِيلُ ، قَالا : نا عَمْرُو بْنُ شَبَّةَ ، قَالا : نا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، نا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَحْدَثَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلاةِ فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَهُ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ ثُمَّ لِيَنْصَرِفْ " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person's ablution breaks while he is in the state of prayer, he should place his hand on his nose and leave, so that it appears as though he has had a nosebleed."
Hadith 586
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، قَالا : نا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ السُّكَيْنِ أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، نا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَحْدَثَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلاةِ فَلْيُمْسِكْ بِأَنْفِهِ وَلْيَخْرُجْ مِنْهَا " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person's ablution breaks during prayer, he should hold his nose and then leave."
Hadith 587
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ، نا حَجَّاجٌ ، نا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَحْدَثَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلاتِهِ فَلْيَأْخُذْ بِأَنْفِهِ ثُمَّ لِيَنْصَرِفْ " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: "When a person's ablution breaks during prayer, he should hold his nose and then leave (the prayer and go back)."
Hadith 588
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْخَلالُ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ ، نا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الْقُرَشِيُّ ، نا الْوَلِيدُ . ح قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي بَقِيَّةُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَخَّصَ فِي دَمِ الْحُبُوبِ ، يَعْنِي الدَّمَامِيلَ " . وَكَانَ عَطَاءٌ يُصَلِّي وَهِيَ فِي ثَوْبِهِ ، هَذَا بَاطِلٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، وَلَعَلَّ بَقِيَّةَ دَلَّسَهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ ضَعِيفٍ . وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted regarding the blood from boils and blisters (that ablution is not required due to it).
Hadith 589
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ ، نا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ ، نا نُعَيْمٌ ، نا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَحْدَثَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلاتِهِ فَلْيَأْخُذْ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ وَلْيَنْصَرِفْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ " .
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person's ablution breaks during prayer, he should hold his nose and then go back and perform ablution."
Hadith 590
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الآدَمِيُّ الْجَوْزَدَانِيُّ ، نا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْبَحْرَانِيُّ . ح وَثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، قَالا : نا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبِي ، نا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَعِيشُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاءَ فَأَفْطَرَ " ، فَلَقِيتُ ثَوْبَانَ فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : صَدَقَ أَنَا صَبَبْتُ لَهُ وُضُوءَهُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) broke his fast by saying this. The narrator states: Later, I met Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) in the Grand Mosque of Damascus, and I mentioned this matter to him. He said: "(Abu Darda has spoken the truth) I had performed ablution for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Hadith 591
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى ، قَالُوا : نا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، نا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، نا أَبُو عَمْرٍو عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ يَعِيشَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَعْدَانُ ، أَنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ .
Sa'd narrated: Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) related this hadith to him, then he narrated it from Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) and from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), with a similar narration.
Hadith 592
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ، نا حَرْبٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، أَنَّ ابْنَ الْوَلِيدِ بْنَ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، نا مَعْدَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ أَخْبَرَهُ ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ " أَنَا صَبَبْتُ لَهُ وُضُوءَهُ " .
Ma'dan bin Abu Talhah narrates this: He was informed of this by Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him), after which he mentioned the hadith as before, in which it is mentioned: (Sayyiduna Thawban, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:) "I performed ablution for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Hadith 593
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جُنَادٍ ، نا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ ، نا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، نا حُسَيْنٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَحْوَهُ . قَالَ ثَوْبَانُ : صَدَقَ وَأَنَا صَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ وُضُوءَهُ.
The same narration is transmitted with another chain, in which these words are: Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "They have spoken the truth, I made ablution for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)."
Hadith 594
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْبَزَّازُ ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ جَحْدَرٌ ، نا بَقِيَّةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي كُلَّمَا تَوَضَّأْتُ سَالَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَسَالَ مِنْ قَرْنِكَ إِلَى قَدَمِكَ فَلا وُضُوءَ عَلَيْكَ " . عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ هَذَا ضَعِيفٌ ، وَلا يَصِحُّ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man said, "O Messenger of Allah! Whenever I perform ablution, (blood) starts to flow." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "When you have performed ablution, then even if it continues to flow from the top of your head to your feet, it is not obligatory for you to perform ablution again." Abdullah bin Malik Ramawi is weak; this narration is not authentic.
Hadith 595
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ السِّمْسَارُ ، نا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ السَّكَنِ الْحِمْصِيُّ ، نا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، نا عُبَادَةُ بْنُ نُسِيٍّ ، وَهُبَيْرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالا : نا أَبُو أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيُّ ، نا ثَوْبَانُ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَائِمًا مِنْ غَيْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَأَصَابَهُ غَمٌّ أَذَاهُ فَتَقَيَّأَ ، فَقَاءَ فَدَعَانِي بِوَضُوءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ أَفْطَرَ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَفَرِيضَةٌ الْوُضُوءُ مِنَ الْقَيْءِ ؟ قَالَ : " لَوْ كَانَ فَرِيضَةً لَوَجَدْتُهُ فِي الْقُرْآنِ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ صَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْغَدَ ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " هَذَا مَكَانُ إِفْطَارِي أَمْسَ " . لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، غَيْرُ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ السَّكَنِ وَهُوَ مُنْكَرُ الْحَدِيثِ.
Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was observing a fast, and this was outside of Ramadan. He experienced some discomfort which caused him distress, and as a result, he vomited. Then he vomited again, and called me to perform ablution, so he performed ablution and broke his fast. I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Is it obligatory to perform ablution after vomiting?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If it were obligatory, you would have found its command in the Qur'an." The narrator states: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fasted the next day, and I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "This is the make-up for the fast I broke yesterday." This narration has only been transmitted from al-Awza'i by 'Atiyyah bin Sakn, and he is a rejected narrator of hadith.
