Hadith 453
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، نا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، أَوْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُ جَنَابَةٌ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاةِ ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ غَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ أَكَلَ " . صَحِيحٌ.
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) became in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) and intended to sleep, he would perform ablution (wudu) as he did for prayer. But if he intended to eat in that state, he would wash his hands and then eat. This narration is authentic.
Hadith 454
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الصَّائِغُ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاةِ ، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَكَلَ " . صَحِيحٌ.
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) intended to sleep in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), he would perform ablution (wudu) as he did for prayer, and if he intended to eat something in the state of janabah, he would wash both his hands and then eat that thing. Hadith 455
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، نا أَبُو الأَزْهَرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ ، وَكَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ غَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ وَمَضْمَضَ فَاهُ ثُمَّ طَعِمَ " . صَحِيحٌ.
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to sleep in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), he would perform ablution (wudu) as for prayer before sleeping. And if he intended to eat something while he was in a state of janabah, he would wash both his hands and rinse his mouth, and then eat that thing. This narration is authentic.
